Peter Richardson


Peter Richardson is a director and writer, whose recent films include the BAFTA nominated ‘Hunt for Tony Blair’ (2011) and ‘Five Go To Rehab’ (2012). Other award winning Comic Strip films include ‘The Strike’ and ‘Five Go Mad In Dorset’.

Peter’s first feature film ‘The Supergrass’ (1985) was was a hit in the UK. His other movies include ‘Churchill – The Hollywood Years’ (2004), starring Christian Slater and Neve Campbell, ‘The Pope Must Die’ (1991) with Robbie Coltrane, ‘Eat The Rich’ (1986) with Motorhead, and ‘Stella Street’ (2004) with John Sessions and Phil Cornwell, who won best comedy actors at the Aspen Film Festival.

Peter Richardson has produced and acted in more than 40  Comic Strip films which also starred Rik Mayall, Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Adrian Edmondson, Robbie Coltrane, Alexei Sayle, Keith Allen, Nigel Planer, and many other well known British comedians.

A new Comic Strip feature film ‘It Ends Badly’ is due to start filming in August 2013.
